Hot in the flatlands, cool on the mountain

Finally, the first peak of the year.  Good ole Strawberry Peak.

Started the hike at sunrise.  Not too crowded, although by 6:30 the main parking lot was full.  Big boy scout group, so that took a lot of parking.  And they are doing the 6 pack challenge, and made it up.

Weather was 90’s and 100’s in the flatlands.  But up on the mountain it was cool.  A bit chilly in a tank and shorts to start off the hike.  Trail is in excellent condition.  No bugs at all.  Just a perfect time for a spring hike.
