Hot springs cool snow

Wide fire road to the old lookout tower. Most of the work is the first two miles as many others have said. Ice and snow after mile 2ish but easy to nav with hiking boots. Really pretty and serene. Cool little trail winds you through trees to the summit where a ladder awaits! This is quite unique.  Fun bit of adrenaline using the ropes to get up the rock to the top. As I eyed the ropes and planned my descent tactic, I  momentarily felt like a cat stuck in a tree. Take it slow and you’re good to go.
