How to earn extra credit on Black Butte????

Cold and cloudy. Lots of dogs (not mine) along with hordes of people (no solitude on Sunday) and quite a few parents trying to cajole their children (some toddlers!) to keep on keeping on… It is quite a steep trail but all the more gratifying when you reach the top. The extra credit comes with starting the route at the bottom which adds an additional 6 miles to the suggested starting point.
