Ice House Canyon to Ontario Peak

Once again, I found myself parked at 0600 at the Icehouse Canyon trailhead ready to tackle Ontario Peak with a new friend who shares a mutual interest in conquering peaks!

We didn’t rush the ascent out of the canyon to the saddle, rather taking a few breaks along the way to catch our breath and enjoy stunning views and sounds that nature has to offer.

Fueled by energy gels, nuun endurance drinks, and summit fever, we pushed out of the canyon and on the summit of Ontario Peak! There is something about being above the clouds and being on top of a peak that makes all of the hard work, huffing and puffy worth it and bringing you back for more 🙂
