It’s the climb
Check the weather beforehand. This hike offers minimal protection from the sun but a 7 or 8am start should allow plenty of time to minimize its effects. Enjoyed this hike for its well marked trail with easy elevation gain. That is, until the last 1/3 of a mile to the top! You know you’ve reached this point when you find yourself talking less and taking more rest breaks. The ultimate break however is at the top where you can enjoy lunch or a snack while taking in all the views.
