Journey to the Highest Point in SLO County

We lucked out with the most beautiful weather for Caliente Ridge Trail. It was in the high sixties, sunny and with a constant breeze. We didn’t see another person all day. The trail is in good shape although has some ruts from the recent rain. Its easy to follow. Its very long and roller-coasty. I think it could be miserable on a hotter day but we enjoyed it. Its way out there so bring more water than you need and be prepared. In a few weeks I bet it will be in full bloom.
