Decided to do this hike from Midgley Bridge instead of the North Wilson Trailhead just because we are more familiar with the trail from the bridge. It is a relentless climb up with only a few flat spots for relief. Amazing views all the way up although I appreciated the red rocks more on the way down (I felt like I had my back to them much of the way up). We just visited the Sedona overlook although the North Canyon overlook is worthwhile too. We have camped at the top before and it is an incredible experience…just make sure you bring plenty of water!
