Kendrick

Probably one of my favorite hikes of all time. It was a decent workout without being too challenging and the landscape is incredible. To get to the trail I did have to drive on dirt roads for several miles. My Kia Forte handled it fine, I just went very slow. Had I done more research before leaving for the hike I probably would have taken a different car, one more suitable for dirt roads. My watch said this hike was 9.4 miles long with 2,606 ft of elevation gain. I started this hike at 5:30 am and only saw two other people on my way up the mountain and had the top to myself for the 30 minutes I stopped up there. I did see a lot of other groups on my way down. It took me about 2 hours and 20 minutes to reach the top and a hour and a half to get down.
