Kendrick is always a good choice!

Started at 6:30am to try to beat the heat even at altitude and for the first time hiking this mountain, I wasn’t the first car at the trailhead (everyone was trying to beat the heat). There were some sections in which the bugs were terrible: one was a swarm of bees that actually had me worried and bees are not normally something that make me uncomfortable; and in another section some small bugs I didn’t recognize but he and they bites were stinging and painful – I wish I knew what they were. Thankfully, the bugs were only really bad on my way down the mountain and not as bad on the way up.  Despite the bugs and the higher temperatures, it was a beautiful morning on the mountain. Kendrick is always a favorite hike! ????????????
