Kicking off the LV 6pack w/ Turtlehead Peak!

We got to the trailhead around 9. The first section is relatively easy and well marked, with many desert flowers in bloom. Once you cross over to the la madras wilderness the hike picks up a lot of steam. The elevation gain over such a short mileage is no joke! We saw some vestige desert wildflowers before the long stretch of scrambling (made difficult more by distance, not very technical).
