Killer on the legs

Early morning start at 6:00 am and 5 degrees, required headlamp at the start. The parking lot was only 1/2 full and very few hikers on the trail going up. Nice views of Phoenix as the sun was rising. Beautiful trail with some challenging sections but over all a great workout. On the descent the trail was getting very busy so glad for the early start.
