Our BATS trio (badasstrailsisters) began hiking at 8am. Temperature was perfect. Hiking through the lava gets a bit tedious, but it is fascinating to look at. I was worried that it might wear the soles off my new Altras! Sky was clear and views from the top, amazing! Perfect day for a great hike! This hike was #5 out of 6 for the sixpackofpeaks challenge.
