Life after death

5 years ago my dad left this planet and hiking became my therapy. This hike was my favorite of the 6 original peaks until I Wilson couple weeks ago. I started at 5:10am to crickets and an owl and memories of my first time here. Bits of confusion tickled the back of my brain with google maps finding the trailhead, but no reason to panic because is always works out just right. The fires that consumed this area and closed the trail back in 2020 saddened me  for a bit, but the new life that is coming and will continue to bring a new beauty makes me very happy. My morning was challenging and incredible all at once and the false summits brought laughter and joy at each turn. I probably saw the least amount of hikers in some time and the summit was a quite treat. Thank you mountains GODS once again for the journey that continues.
