Long But Great Day on Our Last Peak

We started early but not early enough as it ended up being a 13 hour day on the trail. it was a beautiful hike and worth every step. The first 1/2 mile was fairly flat but quickly changes when you cross the river bed. Goes very steep for the next mile plus then does level out a bit but it is just a long and very steep trail the whole way. Actually saw a few redwoods in a grove closer to the bottom. The top is treeless and you are truly on top of Southern California!
