Not going to lie, I was totally nervous about going solo .. but I did it!
I had the trail to myself and I even came face to face with a deer. Though I forgot my phone charging cable at the car and I had to book it back down the mountain.
Parking permit required. HWY 2 closed beyond parking lot. Access from Wrightwood only.
