Made it to the Roost!

We did the Carney to Cave trail loop. We found Robbers Roost, made it to Fremont Saddle and finished down bluff to Peralta trailhead. The weather was amazing for the hike. It did get warm at one point. We used Route Scout and Alltrails to help with navigating since there wasn’t a designated trail for a lot of the trail. Cairns also helped a lot. There was a bit of climbing, boulder hopping, and sliding on some of the trail. There are a lot of pokey stuff on the trail so long leggings were great for not getting scratched up. We did 8.5 miles with elevation gain 2300ft. It took us 6 hours and 40 minutes. We did stop for a snack break and pictures along the way.
