Maiden Peak

Trail was in good condition, has had recent bicycle activity.  Had the trail to myself with the exception of the crossing with the PCT where there were a few other hikers.  Awesome views on top!!  Sad that the forest service hasn’t removed garbage from what looked to be an old fire lookout.  There were a hand full of huckleberries to be found and quite a few mushrooms along the trail.  Lots of mosquitoes so I would recommend repellents.  Sign says 5 miles but it’s closer to six.
