Maple Springs Truck Route to Santiago Peak

I actually was planning to do this hike a few days earlier, but the gate at Maple Springs Visitor Center was closed.  Not wanting to drive all the way there to another closed gate, I double-checked on the Cleveland National Forest’s website to confirm that it was open this time.  There was no other hiker on the trail, but a couple of trucks passed us on the way.   It was windy and chilly at the peak. We couldn’t find the sign at the peak.
