On a beautiful Sunday morning, I was invited to hike up to Mount San Jacinto with my niece Helen and her San Diego hiking buddies, Phet and Osa.  Phet will be hiking up to Langley in mid-October to celebrate her 47th birthday.  This was my first meeting Phet and Osa.

We started the hike early in the morning.  The morning skies was so beautiful at Marion Mountain.  This was my first time hiking in early Autumn in the Marion Mountain area.  The fall colors were so beautiful here.

I hadn’t been hiking quite awhile.  The two hour drive here was a torture for me.  I felt so sluggish and my group outpaced me.  They reached the peak first.  I was a hour behind them.  Once I reached the summit, I took photos and headed straight down with my group.

I had no problem coming down Mount San Jacinto.  I was able to follow my group leader Phet.

Woohoo!  I’m so proud of myself.  With Mount San Jacinto bagged, I completed my 2024 SoCal Hikers’ Six Pack of Peaks Challenge.
