Miserable on Mummy

Reaching the top of Trail Canyon was simple. Reaching the top of Mummy Mountain was…not simple. My hiking partner and I nearly missed the infamous “M” engraved tree. All trails really saved us there! The first scrambling was awful. I often took one step forward and half a step back as the rocks settled under my boots. The second scramble was terrifying. Hiking poles are absolutely necessary for this hike. Bring food. Bring water. Bring tissues. The views were wonderful but the journey was rough!
