Mission Peak, almost impossible for my pup

This was my second time summiting Mission Peak! I planned to get an earlier start, but by the time I got there at 8am I had to park half a mile away from the Stanford Avenue trailhead. I brought my pup with me and he was not into it. The trail is very steep for most of the way up (3 miles) and he was dragging. Pretty views from the top but overall crowded trail and not a lot shade. We did the loop and had some more shade and space to ourselves on the way down. Said hey to some cows grazing in the fields. If you bring your pup on the trail, bring lots of water and make sure to take lots breaks. My pup is about 70lbs, so it would have been mission impossible if he decided to lay down and protest.
