Omg the monkey flowers were everywhere! Red, orange, and the elusive golden! We got on the trail at 6:30 and saw no one for five miles until we hit the peak. Quiet, serene, gorgeous and empty? Maybe because Google says the 74 is closed. It’s not. Trail is a bit overgrown. Maybe because there are few visitors? We went slow, took us about 5 hours. Happy to enjoy the breeze and the gorgeous scenery.
