Check out the more detailed 2022 log for map & track info. Second time on the Baden-Powell trail – perfect mild conditions for this afternoon hike up the switchbacks. I once again enjoyed the scenic drive into Wrightwood as much as the hike! There was hardly anyone on the road or the trail.
Note: Highway 2 is still closed from all the storm damage at the Vincent Gulch gate by the TH parking lot. When in doubt, the Caltrans QuickMap has the most accurate and latest info on road closure conditions for this area. Both Google/Apple maps and even the ranger station in Big Pines were incorrectly indicating that the road was closed much sooner, around Inspiration Point / Blue Ridge.
