Mount Diablo Hike

We hiked Mount Diablo starting at Mitchell Canyon. We arrived at 7:45 and the gates were already open (although they said they’d open at 8a) so we started right away. The trail had a fair amount of shade the first half of the way up and the second half of the way down. We took a wrong turn on the way down and ended up doing 15.3 miles. It was pretty warm and we ran out of water around mile 10 so I’d advise bringing a lot of water and snacks!
