Mount Monadnock

Friend and I chose to hike Pumpelly Trail. Weather earlier in the week looked rainy Saturday night and expected wet conditions. Winds were gusting 25-30 mph. Little breezy at times but we had sun and blue skies with some clouds. Cooler temps really helped us reach summit with minimal overheating. Trails were dry and with a few small ice patches that had melted by the time we headed back. Pumpelly Trail was definitely a nice challenge and a different route up to Summit. Started gradually and then straight up. Up on the ridge to the Summit we were welcomed by 360 views. Taking in the views before I made my way back to the car. Definitely a beautiful hike and Monadnock doesn’t disappoint.
