The two ascents before reaching the peak looked nearly impossible from a distance. Once there, they were tough, but not as bad as anticipated. The descents were not fun, especially with the loose rock, but, again, more doable than expected. It was one of those “sometimes-you-just-need-to-get-out-of-your-own-head-and-just-do-it” moments, twice! Loved the swarms of butterflies at the top and am happy to have done it. That being said, this may be a one and done hike.

A question, how were the crowds for the weekend? I’m thinking about doing Nebo next Saturday and was wondering if I need to get to the trailhead before sunlight to get a parking spot?
Thank you! We arrived around 7:15am and there was still plenty of parking available. The parking area is just brush cleared dirt, so not a lot of uniformity leaving room for some creative parking if necessary. There may be more people next weekend because of the holiday, but I think you’ll be fine even if you arrive after sunrise. Just be mindful of the heat. Best wishes for an awesome hike!
