Mount Pilchuck

I was really looking forward to this hike and it did not disappoint! It was a tough hike, but a beautiful sunny day with gorgeous views. The second half of the trail is mostly rocks and boulders, with a difficult scramble up to the fire lookout. Once you get up there, though, WOW! 360 degree views! The views are still really good even if you don’t make it to the tower. The trail was in great shape, and there was only one small section with a little snow, which was easy to cross. The trail was easy to follow, with several markers pointing you in the right direction. The only drawback was all of the bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. Saw lots of people wearing mosquito nets.
