Also on this hike
- We camp at Campo Alto Campground Friday Night. The weather at night was cold and windy. Good thing we came prepared.
- We started the hike a bit late (8:30 AM). The sun was up. The great thing about the trail is it’s shaded by pines. So, it’s cooler.
- The trail started going downhill. Hence, coming back to the end was uphill. There was multiple up and down terrain, which made the trail more challenging.
- The switch back to the top of Mount Pinos was not too bad. It is not steep at all. There is service at the top. Thanks to the tower.
- The sign by the geological marker needs a replacement.
- Overall, it was a great experience.
