This was the easiest of all the hikes on the Six Pack list. Lots of parking at the Mt Pinos Nordic Base and a nice, wide and gentle trail. I went all the way to the peak of Grouse Mountain, and then came back on the Vincent Tumamait Trail to summit Sawmill Mountain (highest point in Kern County) and Mt Pinos (highest point in Ventura County) through the Chumash Wilderness. It was a perfect day for a hike with cool temperatures and clear blue skies!
