This was my first time climbing Mount Tam. What was supposed to be 16 miles turned into 18 miles with getting off trail a couple of times. While I did the first two hikes alone, I took a friend with me for this one. It took a little over 7 hours. My favorite part of the hike was taking the Dipsea trail on the way back. It was like a wonderful fern forest! This is my favorite hike so far.
