Mt. Tam is one of my most favorite hikes. It is a steady climb with many variations along the trail. There is one spot with a small ladder that I always enjoy as it is a landmark along the way. The views at the top are spectacular! It is a practically 360 degree view of the SF bay area! I do this hike at least once a year as it is so enjoyable, albeit rather difficult to be honest.
