Mount Um(Ididntknowitwasntoutandback)unhum

Started this hike believing it was 8.4 miles out-and-back. Turns out, it was one way ???? Huge thanks to my friend Sara for meeting me at the top so I wouldn’t have to hike 16 miles (unprepared).

The trail was well maintained and spread out, about halfway up the mountain, the switchbacks offer a nice steady climb to the peak and plenty of shade and cool breathing air even on a hot day.

Bugs and mosquitoes are very abundant and excited up here, so bug spray on your cap or hat will go a long way to keeping your face swarm-free!
