Mount Umunhum: Hard to Spell, Easy to Climb !

This classic trail is always a fun hike with such vibrant green hills across the great Sierra Azul Open Space preserve, throughout the year. I would say this is also one of those most fulfilling hikes because of the windy drive to the trailhead itself followed by the gorgeous Mt. Umunhum trail. Also majority of the trail is shady with tree covering it and therefore provides great relief even during summer.

Like in the past, I arrived just after dawn to make sure to avail a parking spot and that allowed us to start the hike early. The stunning views and the gradual incline made feel this hike effortless. The fall weather was perfect and on reaching the summit we did our usual photo session and was back in about an hours time at the parking lot. Umunhum never disappoints me !
