I have done the 8 miles hike to here before. I just challenged myself to do the 24 miles trail today. It was a very nice trail with plenty of Spring Flowers and great views.

Hi,
For this trail, I started at Almaden Quicksilver County Park. On AllTrails, look up Mount Umunhum via Almaden Quicksilver County Part. Trail show 12.1 miles point to point. I did round trip and it took me less than 9 hours to hike with 30 minutes break.
The parking lot open at 8:00 am, I started 7:25 am and found a parking spot outside the gate. Wear good shoes, because my feet was dying at mile 20. Bring plenty of water and food for lunch at the top. Good luck and enjoy the hike.
