Finally got around to my first peak of my six pack. Mount Wilson seems the traditional starting point, so I went with that. Beautiful hike, the easy boulder-hoping river crosses on the lower portion of the trail were delightful. The trail doesn’t get too grueling until you pass the Sturtevant Camp area, and that when the legs start to take a beating.

When we got to the top, there was a strong fog rolling in, so we didn’t have much time to savor the views, but it was still great. On the way down via Mount Wilson Trail, we saw a deer and her fawn through the fog. When we got back near the river down in the canyon, we started to get hit with some rain that turned into small hail for a while. As we neared the parking lot the rain got quite torrential, so we timed everything just right.
