Mt Bachelor Like Never Before

Thank goodness for the input from previous hikers and a trail runner we saw finishing  his run and emerging from the woods as we were setting out ..as we might not have found the trail head! For those of you reading this before you go: if you are facing uphill and standing to the right of Sunrise Lodge, look  a bit further right and you’ll see the sign for the trail.

As you go up, the occasional white arrows painted on rocks keep you on the trail. Footing can be tricky in places. Lots and lots of uneven, unstable rocks to step on/over.

It was cool to be up atop when it isn’t ski season….a first for me.
