Mt. Baldy On Memorial Day

Mt. Baldy reopened this weekend after being closed since the Bridge Fire last September. The fat old guy decided to hike it on Memorial Day. They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but it doesn’t make the hike any easier. This hike kicked my butt. I’ve been dogging it and it showed. On the bright side I still hold the record for slowest man on the mountain.
It was a beautiful day up there and made better by running into some awesome strong hikers. It was a tough day for a fat old guy, but I’m glad I did it.
