Eerie walking through the closed ski resort and the Devil’s backbone portion was a bit scary and treacherous at points… But definitely safe as long as you are paying attention and careful. The last 2 miles were extremely strenuous as it was all uphill, but such a rewarding summit!

It’s also easy to get lost coming up, so I definitely recommend downloading the map on AllTrails in advance.
