Mt. D – Another first climb for my kid

Yeah, so as I said, my kid is 22, but it was still her first time to the summit of Mount Diablo. It was foggy, foggy, but not too cool, so no jackets were needed until we reached the peak and the wind got to us. Very few hikers, and not too many who drove up either. Surprised anyone bothered with the drive given the thick fog blocking any view from the top.

I have been to the top countless times, but somehow never realized there was a little museum in the center part of the lighthouse building. In fact, I just learned that this is where the true peak of the mountain is enclosed. Funny how you can always learn something new.

Now I just have to convince my kid to go back on a clear day. ha ha.
