Mt Diablo – attempt #2

Second attempt to summit from Mitchell Canyon via Eagle Peak, Bald Ridge, and North Peak trails. My sister and I attempted in late summer but it was too hot. This time I made it to the summit and because I’m hiking this weekend I cut out the descent and got picked up by the visitor center. Hazy air and fog hanging in the valleys all day but the mid-60s temperature was perfect for hiking up and up and up. The low fog made for soft, painting-like landscapes. I could see the Sierra Nevada ~1-3pm when the haze had settled over the Central Valley.
