The weather was perfect for a hike. A sunny day with some cloud cover with a nice breeze to cool you off from the 80 degree temps. The wind on top of the watch tower was pretty vigorous requiring everyone to hang on to hats and other loose items. There were some two-tailed swallowtail butterflies along the trail to add some color to the surroundings.
