Mt. Helena Blues

The start of the trail is very green and lots of shade. Fortunately it was a cloudy day so we didn’t have much sun exposure on the fire road leading to the summit.  It got very cloudy and cold at the top.  We still enjoyed a celebratory beer at the top. We were lucky to make it back down to our cars before the rain.

We met several peak challengers on the trail and at the peak.  We took pictures with one group at the summit.  This was their 5th peak and number two for our group.
