Mt Pinos

Did the three peaks from Nordic Station (parking lot, elevation at 8,300).  Moderate effort hike on a beautiful trail that goes up and down.  It’s a dirt road to Mt Pinos (8,848 ft) and becomes a narrow trail to Sawmill and Grouse.  Wear pants and not shorts as bush protrudes in some places to Sawmill.  Singing birds, pine trees and hopping grasshoppers wIth     lightly trafficked hikers.  Great views from Pinos and Sawmill.  Trail to Grouse stops at a tree with red ribbons and not defined thereafter so becomes off trail to the peak.  Needed Gaia app map to get to Grouse.  Chumash spirit stone tower at Sawmill and wood tower at Grouse.
