What a gorgeous day for a hike! Cool breeze, fun friends, and beautiful wildflowers. I’ve hiked this trail many times over the past 30 years and I’ve never seen such vibrant colored wildflowers as I did today. Amazing! The trail was dusty but the foliage on both sides was lush and green. As always, the top third is tough—climbing above the treeline in the breeze can be awful. But today the breeze was mild and the skies were beautiful.
