New growth after the Tubbs Fire in 2017 can be noticed on the Southern slopes of the nearly 8-Million years old volcanic rock formation (slide 6). Winter in these part of the NorCal provides great views of the Sonoma, Napa and Lake counties, meanwhile the frigid winds at the summit relay towers over the weekend were not so welcoming.
