Beautiful day to have done this hard hike.  “The Shortcut” – the steepest climb in NorCal, I’ve heard – was tough but we took lots of breaks and enjoyed the scenery.   We did the loop and the hills start up again towards the end.  Great day-long hike if you stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
