Wildflowers blooming

What an amazing hike.  Started about 7:15 AM on a cool day.  Started at Henry Coe State Park above the fog.   The climb to the top of Blue Ridge was quite something.  Definitely burned the quads, but a peanut butter and honey sandwich & carrots at the top made it all better.  The best part was walking down the Blue Ridge trail after…  Wonderful combination of clear skies, wild flowers and a breeze.  The last set of hills were quite a lot as well as they just kept going up and up.  Ended up with the last two miles on a double track road with green grasses, lone oaks and lots of wild flowers.  Saw 3 snakes on the day as well!  Whole trip ended up being about 17 mi.  This was my favorite hike thus far.
