I haven’t done all that many hikes in the Lake Tahoe basin, but I might have just found my new favorite hike there. The view of Lake Tahoe from the top is fantastic, and the views of Fallen Leaf Lake on the way are great too. It doesn’t hurt that the weather/temps were ideal for a hike like this. Yes, it’s a steep, challenging hike, but is well worth it.
