Mt. Tam June Hike

What a gorgeous start to the hike.  You quickly go into the woods and it is stunningly beautiful.  You follow the creek and view several small falls.  On the trail there are plenty of other people so that it doesn’t feel lonely, although on a Monday it was relatively quiet.

The campground was about midpoint and a good place to go to the bathroom.  Soon after the campground, we had to put our sun hats on and we’re grateful it wasn’t a hot day!  The views of the bay are lovely,  but you are exposed.

At the top is a fire lookout.  We sat on the steps and enjoyed our lunch while viewing the birds and butterflies fly by.
