Mt Umunhum 2022

Our first time to Mt Umunhum. Trail is lovely, mostly shaded at this time of year. Beautiful madrones, bush poppies and some white-flowered ceanothus. We saw deer, a chipmuck, squirrels, lizards and various birds. We were the only car in the parking lot at 815am on Friday morning. Absolutely gorgeous day! We didn’t see anyone until we reached the summit parking lot and only saw three small groups of hikers on our way back down. It was wonderful to experience the trail and summit on such a low-traffic morning.
